Twin Valley Golf Club

You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the 161 acres of solitude and serenity. Hours range from dawn to dusk. A breakfast buffet every Sunday and lunch every Saturday are provided by the in house chef. The bar and grill are open for special events. If you live in the surrounding area or traveling to or from the coast it is worth the stop. A hidden gem in the Tar Heel state.

Parks

Anson County has plenty of park space perfect for stretching your legs on a long drive or planning a picnic getaway or planning a birthday party. Wadesboro has a City Pond where you can rent boats and fish until your heart’s content. No matter which major highway you’re on, we have you covered on parks and playgrounds.

Our parks are a great place to get out, stretch your legs and take your four-legged friends for a walk.

Pee Dee Wildlife National Refuge

Situated along the Pee Dee River, Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge contains 8,443 acres in Anson and Richmond Counties, North Carolina. The refuge was established to provide wintering habitat for migratory waterfowl. 

The Wildlife Refuge Offers the perfect adventure spot, spanning 8.443 acres. It’s perfect for photography, picnics, fishing, hunting, camping and more.


Kayaking

With 3 access points in Anson County, you’ve sure got your pick on where to spend your day floating down the river. The Pee Dee River Blueway has a moderate difficulty and is 19.7 miles long.


Big Game Hunt

The Anson County Chamber of Commerce holds Annual Big Game Hunt Tournament in November.  The Big Game Hunt Tournament is organized by the Anson County Chamber of Commerce and its membership.  The event reaches all of North Carolina with a targeted presence in the five-county area of Anson, Montgomery, Richmond, Stanly and Union counties with exposure to 15,000+ people.  Attendance for the event is estimated at more than 500 people for the two-day event. They recognize your company as being an aggressive, community oriented, and professionally minded company and would like to encourage you to become a sponsor of this exciting high-profile event for our area.


Indie Studios

On the outer edge of our Arts District on Rutherford Street we have Indie Studios. Host a party or stop in Monday thru Friday between 4pm - 8pm or Sundays 1pm to 6pm to take a peek at previously completed art on display or pick up a paintbrush yourself. Indie Studios hosts private events for parties.


Four Branches Sporting Preserve

Primary preserve grounds are approximately 1,400 acres. Four Branches concentrates heavily on 14 station European style sporting clays, five stand games, and multiple other sporting events. Other outdoor activities include quail hunting, dove hunting, white-tailed deer hunting, eastern wild turkey hunting, and waterfowl hunting.  Four Branches also provides space for event hosting at the Pro-shop including fundraisers, business meetings, weddings and corporate hosted events.  


Hyatt Farms Sporting Clays

Hyatt Farms Sporting Clays is located just a short drive from Charlotte in picturesque Anson County. Hyatt Farms Sporting Clays features a pro shop, a clubhouse, as well as breakfast and lunch served daily.

Vineyard at the Old Place

Featuring a new 2,400 square foot tasting room and event center along with several renovated historic buildings and a working vineyard already located on the 50 acre property, the Evanses plan to open to the public in the fall of this year.
